The Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2013 Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training begins Monday, April 22nd and runs through Thursday, April 25th, with each session beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the DRF and Bloodhorse websites.
At the Under Tack Show, two horses consigned by Old South Farm, Agent, shared honors for the fastest eighth, getting the distance in :9 3/5. On Tuesday it was Hip No. 252, a chestnut daughter of City Zip out of Danse Kongo, by Petionville. She’s a half sister to stakes placed Copy My Swagger. Hip No. 860, a youngster by Run Away and Hide breezed on Thursday. The bay colt is out of Regal Bird, by Grand Slam, a half sister to graded stakes placed Ghost Ring.
Hip No. 890, Thank You Daddy, a daughter of Hear No Evil consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Agent, turned in the Under Tack Show’s fastest quarter on Thursday, stopping the timer in :20 2/5. The bay filly is out of Saint Sammi, by Saint Ballado, a full sister to graded stakes winner Flame Thrower.
Blue River also consigned Hip No. 1096, Cheers of Thunder, who worked three-eighths in :33 flat on Friday, the Under Tack Show’s fastest at the distance. The bay colt by Circular Quay is out of Trail of Cheers, by Indian Charlie.
