Saul and Max Kupferberg’s Sunny Desert was away slowly in Saturday’s $75,000 Broadway Stakes at Aqueduct, but got rolling late, took command a sixteenth from home and drew off to a three length victory. It’s the second stakes win of the year for the 4-year-old daughter of Wild Desert, who had a six-race win streak snapped when third in the Top Flight Handicap (G2) on March 2nd. Sold for $2,000 by Quiet Time Farm, Agent, at the 2009 OBS Fall Mixed Sale, she’s now 1113-7-3-1 and has earned $376,750.
