Comma to the Top takes Aqueduct’s Tom Fool

Adam Coglianese photoGary Barber, Roger Birnbaum & Kevin Tsujihara’s Comma to the Top looked beaten in the stretch after setting the pace in Aqueduct’s $200, 000 Tom Fool Handicap (G3), but the 5-year-old millionaire gelding by Bwana Charlie came again in the final yards and was up to win by a nose. The two time OBS graduate was sold first by Beth Bayer, Agent, as a weanling at the 2010 OBS Fall Mixed Sale before bringing $22,000 when purchased out of the Indian Prairie Ranch consignment at the 2010 April Sale. His fourth graded stakes win gives him a 28-12-2-2 record and earnings of $1,180,696. watch his under tack video

WinStar Farm LLC’s General Election tried stakes company for the first time in the $75,000 John Battaglia Memorial Stakes at Turfway Park Saturday and he circled horses on the turn, closed eight wide and scored by half a length, with fellow 2012 OBS March graduate For Greater Glory getting up for third. It’s the second win in four starts for the 3-year-old colt by Harlan’s Holiday, sold for $150,000 by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, at last year’s March Sale. Now 4-2-1-0, General Election has earned $81,910 to date.  watch his under tack video
