Verso a Verso, Speak Logistics score in Stallion Stakes at Calder

Frank Carl Calabrese’s Verso a Verso is two for two and a stakes winner after her five length victory led a 1-2-3 OBS sweep of Calder’s $300, 000 Florida Stallion My Dear Girl Stakes on Saturday. Ashlee’s Princess (August ’11) was second, with So Blessed (January ’11) checking in in third. The 2-year-old Florida-bred filly by Circular Quay is a two time OBS graduate, sold first at the 2011 August Sale before she was purchased for $11,000 out of the Journeyman Bloodstock consignment at the 2012 April Sale. Ralph Nabavi’s Speak Logistics went right to the lead in Saturday’s $300, 000 Florida Stallion In Reality Stakes at Calder and never looked back en route to a 2-3/4 length victory, with fellow OBS graduate Uptown Anthem (June ’12, April ’12, August ’11, October ’10) finishing third. It’s the first stakes score for the 2-year-old Florida-bred colt by High Cotton, shipped in to Calder off a maiden win at Monmouth in August. Now 3-2-0-0 with earnings of $202,700, he was sold for $62,000 by Ocala Stud, Agent, at the 2012 OBS April Sale. watch his under tack video

Trinity Racing Stables, Inc.’s Silent Serenity scored her first stakes victory Saturday at Woodbine, going wire to wire in the $102,200 Ruling Angel Stakes and winning by three quarters of a length. That’s four wins in seven starts this year for the 3-year-old filly by Silent Name (JPN, sold by Eisaman Equine, Agent, for $20,000 at the 2011 OBS April Sale. The win gives her an 8-4-0-1 record with $151,183 in earnings. watch her under tack video
