This Ones for Phil returns and wins Monmouth’s Decathlon Stakes

Pompa Jr., Mandato & Dubb’s This Ones for Phil, idle since March 2010, returned to the races with a flourish at Monmouth on Saturday and scored by a length and a quarter in the $75,000 Decathlon Stakes. It’s the fourth stakes win for the 5-year-old Florida-bred son of Untuttable, consigned by Summerfield, Agent, to the 2006 OBS Fall Mixed Sale. The win gives him a 17-7-2-1 record and earnings of $538,360.

Eric Fein’s C C’s Pal picked up her first stakes win in Sunday’s $75,000 Monmouth Beach Stakes at Monmouth Park. The nose decision improved her record to 19-4-5-4 and upped her earnings to $313,386. The 4-year-old Florida-bred filly by Alex’s Pal was sold for $7,500 by Beth Bayer, Agent, at the 2007 OBS Fall Mixed Sale.
