Daniel Alonso’s Skippylongstocking (Exaggerator – Twinkling) passed the $2-million mark in earnings with an authoritative victory in Saturday’s $1,250,000 Oaklawn Handicap (G2). Pressing the pace from the start, he went for the lead on the turn, took over in the stretch and eased away to a two-length victory. Trained by Saffie A. Joseph, Jr., the 4-year-old son of Exaggerator has posted six graded stakes wins, compiled a 23-8-2-4 career record and earned $2,291,685. Georgia Antley Hunt, Jeff Giglio and John L. Rogitz’s Nothing Like You (Malibu Moon – Miss Derek) was much the best in the $300,000 Santa Anita Oaks (G2), scoring by 7-1/2 lengths over fellow OBS graduate Kinza (Carpe Diem – Secret Wonder). Away slowly, the 3-year-old daughter of Malibu Moon rated on the inside, slipped through on the rail to take the lead turning for home and drew off with authority. Trained by Bob Baffert, she has three stakes wins, an 8-4-1-0 record and $423,160. Gary Barber & Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners’ Set (Oscar Performance – Three Am Tour) is two for two and a stakes winner after leading a 1-2-3 OBS sweep of the $125,000 Cutler Bay Stakes. Tracking the leaders in the early going, the 3-year-old son of Oscar Performance swung wide off the turn, took charge a furlong from home and was best by a length and a quarter. Fellow OBS graduates Double Your Money (Demarchelier (GB) – Aesculus) and Salvattore Prince (Street Sense – Patricia’s Ring) were second and third. Pressing the pace from the start, the son of Good Magic went after the lead leaving the backstretch, took command turning for home and eased away down the stretch to a decisive victory. Team Hanley, Richard Schermerhorn and Paul Braverman’s I’m Very Busy (Cloud Computing – Two Kisses) captured his first stakes victory in the $300,000 Muniz Memorial Classic Stakes (G2). Far back in the early going, the 4-year-old son of Cloud Computing swung wide turning for home, took charge a sixteenth from home and scored by 3-3/4 lengths. Magic Oaks’ Dana’s Beauty (Not This Time – City Siren) took the $250,000 Latonia Stakes in frontrunning style, taking the lead at the start and never looking back en route to a 2-3/4 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 6-year-old mare by Not This Time, trained by Joe Sharp, now 37-8-4-8 with $428,167 in earnings. Yutaka Enterprises Corp.’s Okiro (Yoshida (JPN) – She Hung The Moon) was off a bit slowly in the $230,000 Animal Kingdom Stakes, rallied to go after the leaders in the lane, took charge inside the final eighth and eased away to a 2-1/2 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old son of Yoshida (JPN), consigned by Skies Thoroughbreds, Agent, to the 2023 March Sale, and sold for $25,000 after breezing an eighth in:10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. Vintage Thoroughbreds LLC, Scott Estes and Brian Hanley’s Beeline (Bee Jersey – Secretariat Humor) is two for two and a stakes winner after taking Gulfstream’s $120,000 Hutcheson Stakes on Saturday. The 3-year-old colt by Bee Jersey took charge at the start, surrendered the lead at the head of the stretch, regained it a furlong out and was best by a nose at the wire, with fellow OBS graduate Patriot Spirit (Constitution – Mistical Plan) checking in third.  Trained by Riley Mott, Beeline has earned $102,760. West Point Thoroughbreds’ Jaxon Traveler (Munnings – Listen Boy) stalked the leaders in the $250,000 Whitmore Stakes (G3), battled to the front inside the furlong pole and gamely scored by a nose. Kilroe Mile Stakes (G1) on Sunday at Santa Anita. It’s the first grade one and third graded stakes win for the 6-year-old son of Temple City, who found room between horses coming to the eighth pole before taking command and winning decisively. FMQ Stables’ Spring Sale grad Saudi Crown (Always Dreaming – New Narration) set the pace in the $20-million Saudi Cup (G1) and settled for third in the shadow of the wire. Earlier in the evening, Leon King Stable Corp.’s October/March graduate Bentornato (Valiant Minister – Her Special Way) led the way in $1.5-million Saudi Derby (G3) before finishing third and Spring Sale graduate Bold Journey (Hard Spun – Polly Freeze) was third in the $1.5-million Dirt Sprint (G3).
