resisted gamely through a long drive then came out in the late
stages to bump with SALEM WILLOW. SALEM WILLOW pressed outside
from the start, also continued gamely through a long drive then
drifted in under pressure to bump with the winner inside the
final sixteenth. HI TECH HONEYCOMB made a three wide middle move
to be in striking position out of the second turn but failed
to sustain that rally late. EXPECTED ROLL stalked the leaders
to mid stretch but failed to respond when set down. TREASURE
COAST GEM made a middle move to the stretch then flattened out.
HOT AS A PISTOL passed tiring rivals. PHARMSTAR raced evenly.
I P O PAT was through after a half. FIRST AGAIN pressed the pace
for more than a half then came up empty. JAVA WIT was through
early. PYRITE JET showed little. O'DESADORABLE stopped. A claim
of foul by the jockey of SALEM WILLOW against the winner for
interference in deep stretch was disallowed. Due to a malfunction
in the photo finish system the official order of finish was confirmed
by track stewards and the finish margins were calculated by EQUIBASE
field staff. |
