Kendall E. Hansen’s Fast and Accurate sat just off the pace in the early going of Saturday’s $500, 000 Spiral Stakes (G3) at Turfway Park, took the lead at the top of the stretch and held on gamely to win by three quarters of a length. Fellow OBS graduate Convict Pike (April ’16) settled for third. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Hansen, trained by Mike Maker, now 6-3-1-0 with $340,362 in earnings. He breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5 before he was purchased for $85,000 from Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, at the 2016 OBS April Sale. watch his under tack video
