Winter Mixed Sale’s Horses of Racing Age breeze Monday, January 23

The Under Tack Show for the Horses of Racing Age Section of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2017 Winter Mixed Sale is set for Monday, January 23rd at 10:00 a.m.

There are 105 horses cataloged in the Racing Age section, with Hip No.’s 193 – 275 in the regular Winter Mixed Sale catalog. A printed supplemental catalog, Hip No’s 276 – 297, is now available at the sales grounds. The entire Winter Mixed Sale catalog can be viewed via the OBS website at http://obssales.com. The website’s searchable and sortable master index provides links to past performances, under tack videos, pedigree and consignor information as well as pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed.

The iPad version of the entire catalog is available via the equineline Sales Catalog app. The app allows users to download and view the catalog, record notes and also provides innovative search, sort and rating capability. The Horses of Racing Age catalog features a mix of experienced race horses, promising 3-year-olds and newly turned 2-year-olds.

Multiple stakes winner Lake Sebago will sell as Hip No. 202. The 5-year-old mare by Munnings captured Laurel’s Gin Talking and Smart Halo Stakes at two and was recently second in a stakes race at Delaware Park. She brings earnings of $243,225 into the sales ring.

Hunter O’Riley, Hip No. 248, was third in Aqueduct’s Gio Ponti Stakes in his last trip to the post. On the board in seven of his ten starts, the 5-year-old son of Tiz Wonderful has earned $143,690.

Stakes placed Perfect Kay will sell as Hip No. 296. The 3-year-old filly by Kantharos was third in the Cassidy Stakes at Gulfstream after breaking her maiden at first asking.

The 3-year-olds also include Hip No. 226, by Quality Road, a half sister to graded stakes winner Beau’s Town; a colt by Distorted Humor, Hip No. 244, is a half brother to graded stakes winner Hooh Why; Teodoro, Hip No. 251, a son of Bodemeister, a half brother to grade one winning millionaire Seattle Smooth; Hip No. 281, a colt by Hard Spun out of graded stakes placed stakes Brisquette, and a half brother to graded stakes winner Medal Count.

The 2-year-olds include Hip No. 206, Discount Diva, a daughter of Sidney’s Candy out of stakes placed Be Silver and a half sister to grade one stakes winner Heir Kitty; Hip No. 217, a Warrior’s Reward colt out of graded stakes placed stakes winner Dashing Daisy; Hip No. 243, by Street Cry (IRE), a half sister to grade one stakes winning OBS graduate Comma To The Top; Hip No. 279, a half brother to stakes placed Boston Cat by Sidney’s Candy; Hip No. 280, a colt by Keep Up, a half brother to stakes placed Grand Ginjo; Hip No. 282, a half brother to graded stakes placed Hakama by Flatter;
