The dark bay or brown filly is out of stakes placed Yankee Victoria, by Yankee Victor.
East Hickman Bloodstock paid $90,000 for Hip No. 115, a gray or roan yearling filly by Into Mischief. Consigned by Select Sales, Agent, she’s out of Maren’s Melody, by Unbridled’s Song, a daughter of graded stakes winner Maren’s Meadow.
Hip No. 136, a bay yearling filly by Into Mischief consigned by Summerfield (Francis & Barbara Vanlangendonck), Agent, was sold to Fox Hill Paso Fino Farm LLC for $85,000. She’s out of Pashmina, by Pentelicus and is a half sister to stakes winner Pashito the Che.
Stripes Stable paid 80,000 for Hip No. 135, a yearling daughter of Shanghai Bobby out of stakes winner Paisley Park, a daughter of stakes winner Silent Ridge. The dark bay or brown filly was consigned by Bird In Hand Stables.
Hip No. 11, a yearling son of City Zip was sold to T.J. Jackson for $70,000. Consigned by Stuart Morris, Agent, the bay colt is out of Zadig, by Rio Verde, a half sister to grade one stakes winner Willa B Awesome.
East Hickman Bloodstock went to $65,000 for Hip No. 30, a son of Flat Out consigned by Stuart Morris, Agent. The dark bay or brown colt is out of stakes winner Beautiful Stranger, by Foxhound, and is a half brother to stakes winner Reata’s Quik Punch.
Hip No. 202, Lake Sebago, a 5-year-old stakes winning daughter of Munnings consigned by Abbie Road Farm (Lisa McGreevy), Agent, went to Douglas Arnold for $87,000 to top the Horses of Racing Age session.The bay mare is out of Aviva’s Pride, by Borrego, a half sister to Canadian champion Hollinger.
Hip No. 297, Hill Croome, a 3-year-old son of American Lion whose three eighths in :33 4/5 was the fastest work at the distance at Monday’s Under Tack Show went to Brett Brophy for $40,000. Consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent, the unraced gelding is out of stakes placed Sauternes, by Gold Legend, a full sister to stakes winner Princess Turandot.
For the Consignor Preferred session, 84 horses sold for a total of $1,522,000, compared with 137 horses grossing $2,471,100 in 2016. The average price was $18,119, compared with $18,037 a year ago, while the median price rose to $10,000 compared with $8,500 last year. The buyback percentage was 47.8%; it was 30.8% last year.
For the Horses of Racing Age session 55 horses grossed $639,000 compared with 61 selling for a total of $947,200 in 2016. The average was $11,618 compared with $15,528 a year ago, while the median price was $8,000 compared to $10,000 last year. The buyback percentage was 15.4%; it was 16.4% in 2016.
