Bonita Bianca wins Belmont’s Maid of the Mist Stakes

Michael Dubb, Bethlehem Stable LLC and Michael Imperio’s Bonita Bianca is two for two and a stakes winner after surging to the lead a furlong from home in Saturday’s $250, 000 Maid of the Mist Stakes at Belmont Park then running away to a 5-1/4 length victory. The 2-year-old filly by Curlin, trained by Rudy Rodriguez, has earned $186,000 to date. Consigned by Dormellito Stud Sales to the 2016 OBS March Sale, she breezed an eighth in :10 3/5 before she was purchased by Michael Dubb for $97,000. watch her under tack video

William & Corrinne Heiligbrodt’s Golden Mischief picked up her first stakes victory on Friday night at Delta Downs, coming from off the pace and getting up in deep stretch to win the $100,000 My Trusty Cat Stakes by a length and three quarters, with fellow OBS graduate Forest Circle (April ’16) finishing third. The 2-year-old daughter of Into Mischief consigned by SBM Training and Sales, Agent, to the 2016 OBS March Sale where she sped an eighth in :9 4/5 at the Under Tack Show. T D C B E Stable’s Nicaradalic Rocks stepped into stakes company for the first time in Laurel’s $100,000 Maryland Million Sprint Handicap on Saturday, tracked the leader to the head of the stretch, took command, and scored by a length. The 3-year-old gelding by Rock Slide, consigned by Mayberry Farm, breezed an eighth in :10 2/5 at the Under Tack Show prior to the 2015 OBS April Sale. Trained by Kieron Magee, he’s now 18-3-2-5 and has earned $139,462. watch his under tack video

Michael R. Cox’s Rockin Jojo circled horses on the turn of Saturday’s $99,000 Maryland Million Distaff Handicap at Laurel, closed down the center of the track in the stretch and was up late for a half length victory. It’s the second stakes score for the 4-year-old daughter of Street Magician, consigned  by Best a Luck Farm LLC, Agent,  to the 2014 OBS April Sale, where she worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. Trained by Guadalupe Preciado, she’s now she’s now 17-4-3-4 and has earned $244,012. watch her under tack video

Curtis Landry and Red Diamond Stable’s unbeaten Ruffenuff has started three times and has won three stakes by a combined 29-1/4 lengths. Her latest was a 10-1/4 length score in the $50,000 Freedom of the City Stakes on Saturday at Northlands Park. The 2-year-old daughter of Dialed In, trained by Greg Tracy, has earned $68,715 to date.
