It’s the third graded stakes win for the 7-year-old son of Officer, sold for $55,000 by Stephens Thoroughbreds, Agent, at the 2011 OBS April Sale after breezing an eighth in :10 flat at the Under Tack Show. Gelfenstein Farm’s Dearest scored her first stakes victory on Saturday at Gulfstream Park, moving to the lead at the head of the stretch and then drawing away in the lane to a six length win. The 3-year-old graded stakes placed filly by Midshipman, trained by Gilberto Zerpa, is now 4-3-0-1 and has earned $112,170 to date. Kathleen Amaya and Raffaele Centofanti’s Look Into My Eyes tried stakes company for the first time in Saturday’s $60,000 Tellike Stakes at Evangeline Downs. The 4-year-old daughter of City Zip, came from off the pace, split horses in the stretch and drew off to win by 2-3/4 lengths. A two time OBS graduate, she was sold by Pelican State Thoroughbreds, Agent, at the 2013 January Sale before going through the ring at the 2014 June Sale after working an Under Tack quarter in :21 2/5. Perdido Pomeroy turned the tables on a fellow OBS graduate, Korean Grand Prix winner Gamdonguibada, on Sunday, beating him in The SBS Sports Korea/Japan Cup (G3) at Seoul Race Course.
