Shackleford colt fastest at Spring Sale Under Tack Show’s second session

Hip No. 242, a chestnut colt by Shackleford consigned by Envision Equine, Agent, breezed a quarter in :20 3/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the second session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2016 Spring  Sale of Two Year Olds in Training. A half brother to graded stakes placed Pedaltothemedal, he’s out of Something Brewing, by Meadowlake.

Hip No. 384, a son of Adios Charlie consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, worked the same distance in :20 4/5. The bay colt is out of Vicky, by Vicar, from the family of stakes winner Draw In.

Three horses worked quarters in :21 flat. Hip No. 268, Centauro, consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Inc., Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt by Yesbyjimminy out of St Ballado’s Lady, by Pleasantly Perfect, from the family of graded stakes winner Halo’s Image. Hip No. 366, a gray or roan colt by Old Fashioned consigned by All Dreams Equine, Agent, is out of stakes winner Twilights Prayer, by Allen’s Prospect, and is a half brother to stakes placed Casa de Cambio. Hip No. 381, a chestnut filly by Overdriven consigned by Ocala Stud, is out of Valid Silk, by Valid Appeal, and is a half sister to stakes winner Rocky River. Hip No. 399, consigned by Hoppel’s Horse & Cattle Co., Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt by Crown of Thorns out of stakes placed Wasted Wisdom, by Gold Fever, and is a half brother to stakes placed Wasted at Midnight.

A trio of youngsters shared honors for the session’s fastest eighth, each stopping the timer in :9 4/5. Hip No. 305, consigned by Cary Frommer, Agent, is a chestnut colt by Haynesfield out of Swinging, by Wild Again, and is a half brother to stakes placed Off Limits. Hip No. 323 is a chestnut colt by Flatter out of There Are Rainbows, by Dixieland Band, a full sister to stakes winner Welcome Home, consigned by Robert Brewer, Agent. Hip No. 395, a chestnut colt by Macho Uno consigned by Grassroots Training & Sales LLC, is out of Wadena, by Saint Ballado, and is a half brother to stakes placed Papa Turf.

Eleven horses breezed eighths in :10 flat.

Hip No. 222, a dark bay or brown filly by Cape Blanco (IRE) consigned by Equinox, Inc., is out of Skymynx, by Sky Mesa, from the family of champion Ruling Angel.

Hip No. 252, consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent for Stonestreet Stables, is a dark bay or brown filly by Maclean’s Music out of Southern Swing, by Dixieland Band, and is a half sister to stakes winner Mr. Pee Vee.

Hip No. 285, a dark bay or brown First Dude colt consigned by Grassroots Training & Sales LLC, Agent, is out of Successful Katie, by Successful Appeal, a half sister to graded stakes placed stakes winner Abbondanza.

Hip No. 288, a bay colt by Quality Road consigned by L & S Thoroughbreds LLC, is out of graded stakes placed Summer Savory, by Horse Chestnut (SAF).

Hip No. 289, consigned by Bridlewood Farm, is a bay colt by Into Mischief out of graded stakes placed stakes winner Summer Song, by Sunday Break (JPN), a half sister to grade one stakes winner Don’t Tell Sophia.

Hip No. 306, a gray or roan colt by Mizzen Mast consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, is a half brother to graded stakes placed Jockey Ridge out of Taanis, by Dayjur.

Hip No. 309, a bay colt by Medaglia d’Oro consigned by King’s Equine, Agent, is out of Takesmybreathaway, by Gone West, and is a half brother to graded stakes winner Frost Giant.

Hip No. 313, She’s Jiggy, consigned by Potrero Stables, is a chestnut filly by Majesticperfection out of Teeny Liz, by Proud Citizen, from the family of champion Chris Evert.

Hip No. 317, consigned by Best A Luck Farm LLC, is a chestnut colt by Overdriven out of Terry M., by Crusader Sword, and is a half brother to stakes placed Island Frolic.

Hip No. 319, a dark bay or brown filly by Flatter consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, is out of Text Queen, by Strong Hope, and is a half sister to graded stakes placed Xoxo.

Hip No. 321, consigned by SBM Training and Sales, Agent, is a bay colt by Majesticperfection out of The Gray Goose, by Malabar Gold, a daughter of graded stakes winner Give a Toast.

Hip No. 271, Sunday Soldier, a chestnut colt by Mad Flatter consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Inc., Agent, turned in the day’s fastest three eighths, clocked in :33 2/5. He’s out of St. Mary’s Citi, by Citidancer, a daughter of stakes winner Conradley.

The Under Tack Show continues Wednesday morning beginning at 8:00 a.m. Hip Numbers 407 – 608 are scheduled to breeze.
