Quality Road colt fastest at day five of Spring Sale’s Under Tack Show

Hip No. 837, a bay colt by Quality Road consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, worked a quarter in :20 3/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the fifth session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2016 Spring  Sale of Two Year Olds in Training. He’s out of graded stakes winner French Satin, by French Deputy, and is a half brother to graded stakes placed stakes winner Midnight Transfer.

There were two quarters in :20 4/5. Hip No. 843, a gray or roan filly by The Factor consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is out of stakes winner Friona, by Allen’s Prospect, a full sister to stakes winner Fort Dodge. Hip No. 901, consigned by Tom McCrocklin, Agent, is a chestnut colt by Broken Vow out of stakes winner Haddie Be Good, by Silver Deputy, and a half brother to stakes winner Story to Tell.

A pair of youngsters breezed the distance in :21 flat. Hip No. 865, a bay colt by Bluegrass Cat consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is a half brother to graded stakes winner Super Majesty out of graded stakes placed Gins Majesty, by Go for Gin. Hip No. 953, a bay colt by Macho Uno consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, is out of I Know You Know, by Officer, from the family of Horse of the Year Holy Bull.

Three horses shared honors for the session’s fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :9 4/5. Hip No. 836, a dark bay or brown filly by Majestic Warrior consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent, is a half sister to stakes winner Song Warrior out of French Line, by Boundary. The Under Tack Show concludes Saturday morning beginning at 8:00 a.m. Hip Numbers 1015 – 1216 are scheduled to breeze.
