Town & Country Farms’ Stopchargingmaria was wide and out of trouble going to the far turn of the $2-million Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) at Keeneland, moved to take the lead approaching the eighth pole then held off a late charge by Stellar Wind to win by a neck.  Trained by Todd Pletcher, the 4-year-old daughter of Tale of the Cat was acquired from Repole Stables, who purchased her for $220,000 out of the Woodford Thoroughbreds consignment at the 2013 OBS March Sale after she breezed an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show.Stopchargingmaria is the is the third OBS graduate to take the Distaff. Jewel Princess took the 1996 renewal and Ginger Punch scored in 2007.
