Bryan, Jr.’s Celestine stayed on the fence while chasing front running fellow OBS graduate Lady Shipman (April ’14) in Belmont’s $98,000 Wait a While Stakes on Saturday, collared her a sixteenth from the wire and scored by a length and a half. Lady Shipman settled for third. It’s the second straight stakes score and third straight win for the 3-year-old filly by Scat Daddy, now trained by Chad Brown.
