Da Stoops colt, Medaglia d’Oro filly fastest at Fall Sale Under Tack Show

A colt by Da Stoops and a filly by Medaglia d’Oro worked three eighths in :32 3/5 to post the fastest works at the distance at the Under Tack Show for the Horses of Racing Age section of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2014 Fall Mixed Sale.

Hip No. 508, Greg Rules Da, a 2-year-old colt by Da Stoops consigned by Jet Set Equine Sales, Agent, is an unraced dark bay or brown colt out of Hines Farley Rules, by King of Kings (IRE), from the family of graded stakes winner Shrike. Hip No. 554, an unraced 2-year-old dark bay or brown filly by Medaglia d’Oro consigned by Gayle Woods, Agent, is out of Seeknfind, by Giant’s Causeway, a half sister to graded stakes winner Seeking the Dia.

Hip No. 490, Dancebythelight, an unraced 3-year-old daughter of Tale of the Cat, sped the distance in :32 4/5. Consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds, Agent, the bay filly is out of Crescent Moon, by Seeking the Gold, and is a half sister to stakes placed Lake Victor.

Hip No. 558, a 2-year-old daughter of Concerto consigned by Ocala Stud, worked the session’s fastest quarter, stopping the timer in :20 2/5. The unraced bay filly is out of stakes placed Siren Cove, by Montbrook, and is a half sister to stakes winner Puntrooskie.

Hip No, 491, an unraced 2-year-old filly by Concerto also consigned by Ocala Stud, worked a quarter in :20 3/5. She’s out of Cutoffs, by Notebook, a full sister to stakes winner Special Report and a half sister to graded stakes placed Stopspendingmaria.

Three horses worked quarters in :21 flat. Hip No. 474, consigned by Ocala Stud, is an unraced 2-year-old chestnut filly by Montbrook out of Western Tornado, by Proud Citizen, from the family of graded stakes winner Critical Eye. Ocala Stud also consigned Hip No. 546, an unraced 2-year-old dark bay or brown gelding by Montbrook out of stakes winner Running Bobcats, by Running Stag, and is a half brother to Japanese champion OBS graduate Asia Express. Hip No. 481, consigned by Jet Set Equine Sales, Agent, is an unraced 2-year-old dark bay or brown colt by Temple City out of Bestow Her Crown, by Crown Ambassador, from the family of graded stakes winner Sir Shackleton.

Five horses shared honors for the day’s quickest eighth mile breeze, each stopping the timer in :10 1/5. Hip No. 505, consigned by Kim Harrison (Top Speed Farm), Agent, is an unraced 2-year-old chestnut colt by Midshipman out of Ghostly Fast, by Ghostzapper, a daughter of graded stakes placed stakes winner Jena Jena. Harrison also consigned Hip No. 568, an unraced 2-year-old bay filly by Majesticperfection out of stakes placed Thealka, by Houston.  Hip No. 544 is an unraced 2-year-old dark bay or brown filly by Tiz Wonderful consigned by Summerfield (Francis & Barbara Vanlangendonck), Agent, out of Royal Sky, by Royal Academy, a half sister to stakes placed Grim Reaper. Hip No. 556, consigned by Jet Set Equine Sales, Agent, is an unraced 2-year-old Bernstein filly out of Shining Prospect, by Lycius, and is a half sister to graded stakes winner Duff. Hip No. 571, consigned by TdM Sales (Tristan & Valery de Meric), Agent, is an unraced chestnut 2-year-old colt by Midshipman out of Truely Genuine, by Yes It’s True, a half sister stakes placed Angel’s Glory.

The lone supplement to the sale is Hip No. 575, Well Composed, consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, a 2-year-old chestnut filly by First Samurai, out of stakes placed Patience Pays, by Fusaichi Pegasus. She comes into the sale fresh from a $90,000 maiden special victory at Kentucky Downs on September 24th.
