Stephanie’s Kitten wins Belmont’s Flower Bowl Invitational Stakes

Ken & Sarah Ramsey’s Stephanie’s Kitten added Belmont’s $600, 000 Flower Bowl Invitational (G1) to her resume on Saturday, relaxing off the pace down the backstretch, rolling into the lane on the outside and running by the leaders to score by a length and a quarter. It’s the third grade one win for the 5-year-old daughter of Kitten’s Joy, consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, to the 2011 OBS April Sale. Her sixth graded stakes win leaves her with a n 18-8-2-4 record and earnings of $2,274,104. watch her under tack work

Clark O. Brewster’s Bayerd tried stakes company for the first time in Sunday’s $75,000 Kip Deville Stakes at Remington Park, battled for the lead from the start and then eased away in the final yards to score by a length. Consigned by Cary Frommer, Agent, the 2-year-old colt by Speightstown worked an eighth in :10 2/5 at the Under Tack Show prior to the 2014 OBS March Sale. Raul Bahena’s Happy to Go pressed the pace, took charge in the stretch and drew off to a two length victory in last Thursday’s $75,000 Mrs. Henry D. Paxson Memorial Stakes at Presque Isle Downs. It’s the first stakes win for the graded stakes placed 3-year-old daughter of Saint Anddan, now 5-2-0-2 with earnings of $92,550. A two time OBS graduate, she was sold first as a weanling by Sue Vacek, Agent, at the 2012 Fall Mixed Sale before being purchased for $8,000 out of the Summerfield consignment at the 2013 August Yearling Sale.
