Scat Daddy duo fastest at June Sale Under Tack finale

Hip No. 1070, a son of Scat Daddy consigned by Harris Training Center LLC, Agent, worked a quarter in :20 1/5, the fastest work at the distance at the sixth and final session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2014 June Two Year Olds & Horses of Racing Age sale. The dark bay or brown colt is out of Noshameinmygame, by Silver Deputy, a half sister to stakes winner Happy Humor.

Scat Daddy is also the sire of Hip No. 1025, a bay filly who cruised three eighths in a rapid :32 2/5, the Under Tack Show’s fastest work at the distance. Consigned by Gayle Woods, Agent for Phaedrus Flights LLC, Agent, she’s out of Mona Mia, by Monarchos, a half sister to graded stakes winner Buddy’s Humor.

Four 2-year-olds worked quarters in :21 flat. Hip No. 1013, Supreme Justice, is a bay colt by Lantana Mob consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, out of Miss Miracle, by A. P Jet, a daughter of graded stakes winner Miss Huntington. Hip No. 1024, consigned by Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds LLC, Agent, is a chestnut colt by Cool Coal Man out of Mom’s Image, by Stormy Atlantic, a daughter of stakes winner Ham and Eggs. Hip No. 1041, a bay filly by Flatter consigned by Hoppel’s Horse & Cattle Co., Agent, is out of My Antonia, by Jules, and is a half sister to stakes placed Kerrville. Hip No. 1121, a gray or roan colt by Quality Road consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, is out of Pirate Queen, by Unbridled’s Song, a daughter of graded stakes winner Be Gentle.

There were three quarters in :21 1/5. Hip No. 1049, Ready When You Are, is a bay colt by In Summation consigned by Boutte Sales, Agent, out of My Friend Melini, by Trippi, from the family of graded stakes winner Yesbyjimminy. Hip No. 1133, a bay filly by Munnings consigned by Robdale Farms, Agent, is out of Positioning, by Boundary, and is a half sister to stakes winner Diva Ash. Two more youngsters worked sub :34 quarters. Hip No. 1126, Great Harbour Cay, consigned by Omega Farm, Agent, worked three eighths in :33 1/5. He’s a chestnut colt by Greatness out of Point Lily, by Bon Point (GB). Hip No. 1039, a bay filly by Sky Mesa consigned by 30-30 Ranch, Agent, breezed the distance in :33 3/5. She’s out of My Angel Dancer, by Fusaichi Pegasus, a daughter of graded stakes winner Dance Colony.

Five youngsters breezed eighths in :10 flat. Hip No. 1036, a gray or roan colt by Half Ours consigned by Bobby Dodd, Agent, is out of Ms Lucille, by Orientate, from the family of Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Mine That Bird. Hip No. 1127, Two Faced Cat, consigned by Southern Cypress Stable LLC, Agent, is a chestnut filly by Wildcat Heir out of Poitrine, by Gulch, and is a half sister to stakes placed Raise the Bridle. Hip No. 1138, a bay colt by Belgravia consigned by Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds LLC, is a half  brother to stakes winner Kinz Funky Monkey out of Pretty Ready, by More Than Ready. Hip No. 1164, consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, is a chestnut colt by Kantharos out of stakes placed Quiet Lake, by Quiet American, and is a half brother to graded stakes placed stakes winner Off the Jak.

Among the sale’s older horses, Hip No. 1184, Spirited Storm, consigned by All Dreams, Equine, worked a quarter in :20 4/5. She’s a 3-year-old chestnut filly by Stormy Atlantic out of Clafoutis, by Unbridled’s Song, and a half sister to stakes placed Bambazonki.

Hip No. 1194 is Hawks Nest, a dark bay or brown 3-year-old gelding by Wildcat Heir consigned by Journeyman Bloodstock Services Inc. (Brent & Crystal Fernung), Agent, worked the distance in :21 flat. He’s out of Let It Roar, by Roar, a half sister to graded stakes winning OBS graduate Two Item Limit.

Appealing Style, Hip No. 1187, worked three eighths in :32 4/5. Consigned by Woodside Ranch, Agent, the 4-year old colt by Successful Appeal, out of Dancita, by Saarland, a half sister to graded stakes placed Miss Maggie, broke his maiden at first asking in a Presque Isle maiden special weight test.

Hip No. 1196 worked three eighths in :33 4/5. Consigned by Julie Davies, Agent, he’s a 3-year-old chestnut colt by Thewayyouare out of Little Truffle, by Grand Slam, a half sister to stakes winner Queen of Millbrook.
