Speightstown colt fastest at Spring Sale Under Tack finale

Hip No. 1187, a son of Speightstown consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent for Stonestreet Stables, breezed a quarter in :20 3/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the fourth and final session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2014 Spring Sale of Two Year Olds in Training. The chestnut colt, out of Emptythetill by Holy Bull, is a half brother to graded stakes winner Conveyance.

Five youngsters worked quarters in :20 4/5.

Hip No. 924, a bay colt  by Indian Charlie consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, is out of Agatha by Distorted Humor, a half sister to champion Hishi Akebono.

Hip No. 1031, consigned by Tom McCrocklin, Agent, is a bay colt by Sky Mesa out of Callie’s Joy, by Distorted Humor, a half sister to stakes winner Rileys Monarch.

Hip No. 1077, Slate Mills, a chestnut colt by Midshipman consigned by Pick View LLC,  is out of Colorama, by Giant’s Causeway,  from the family of graded stakes winner Grecian Urn.

Hip No. 1105, consigned by A.R. Equine, Agent, is a dark bay or brown Ready’s Image colt out of Crystal Got Even, by Stephen Got Even, a half sister to graded stakes winner Reba’s Gold.

Hip No. 1181, a bay colt by Stormy Atlantic consigned by All in Sales (Tony Bowling), Agent, is out of Ellie Boo, by Pulpit, a full sister to stakes placed Pulpit’s Treasure.

Nine horses were clocked in :21 flat.

Hip No. 945, consigned by Nickajack/Rey de Oros, Agent, is a chestnut colt by Cowboy Cal out of Anne Margaret, by Songandaprayer, a half sister to stakes placed Mr. Flatter.

Hip No. 982 is a dark bay or brown colt by Horse Greeley consigned by Wavertree Stables. Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, out of stakes winner Bema, by Pulpit.

Hip No. 1021, a chestnut filly by Bluegrass Cat consigned by Thoroughbred Friends & Associates, Agent, is out of Broken Romance, by Broken Vow, a half sister to graded stakes winner High Limit.

Hip No. 1063, consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, is a bay filly by Colonel John out of Cinderellaslipper, by Touch Gold, a half sister to champion Eithan. They also consigned Hip No. 1133,  a dark bay or brown filly by Line of David out of Defended, by Vindcation, a half sister to stakes winner Boston Express.

Hip No. 1093, a dark bay or brown colt by More Than Ready consigned by Northwest Stud, Agent for Inversiones Fl, LLC, is out of stakes winner Coya, by Deputy Minister.

Hip No. 1130, a bay filly consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is by Discreetly Mine out of stakes winner Deb’s Favoite Gift, by Monetary Gift. Woods also consigned Hip No. 1143, a bay filly by Quality Road out of Detect, by Devil’s Bag, and is a half sister to graded stakes winner Senor Rojo.

Hip No. 1180, consigned by Off the Hook LLC, Agent, is a chestnut filly by Mizzen Mast out of Electric Cove, by Spinning World, from the family of grade one winner Looie Capote.

Hip No. 1207, a son of Wildcat Heir consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, worked the session and the entire Under Tack Show’s fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :9 3/5. The bay colt is out of Exquisite Beauty, by Bertrando, from the family of grade one winner Idiot Proof. 

Two horses worked eighths in :9 4/5.

Hip No. 928, consigned by Dean’s List, is a dark bay or brown filly by Freud out of All of Me, by Unbridled’s Song, a daughter of stakes winner Bold and Gorgeous.

Hip No. 1008, a bay colt by Henny Hughes consigned by Whitman Sales, Agent, is out of Brahms Allegro, by Brahms, a half sister to stakes placed Tally Ho Dixie.

Two horses shared honors for the session’s fastest three eighths, stopping the timer in :33 1/5. Hip No. 949, a Mass Media colt consigned by Boutte Sales, Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt out of Appropre, by Kris S., a half sister to stakes placed Appropriately. Hip No. 988, consigned by All Dreams Equine, Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt by Indygo Shiner out of Bexley, by Level Sands, a half sister to stakes winner Zada Belle.

All Dreams also consigned Hip No. 953, Sea Warrior, a bay colt by Warrior’s Reward out of stakes winner A Sea Trippi, by Trippi, who worked the distance in :33 2/5.

The workouts were recorded and available on the OBS website, in their entirety or by individual hip number. They are also available for viewing in the video room adjacent to the Horsemen’s Lounge in the sales pavilion as well as several kiosks in the lobby and the covered walking ring. In-room viewing is available at The Courtyard by Marriott, Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Residence Inn and the Ocala Hilton, plus lounge viewing is available at the Hilton.
