True North Stable’s Stormy Rush picked up his first stakes victory on Saturday on the turf course at Gulfstream, scoring by a length and a quarter over fellow OBS graduate Bold Thunder (January ’13, June ’12) in the $75, 000 Lincoln Stakes. That’s two straight wins for the 6-year-old Stormy Atlantic gelding, leaving him with a 17-6-1-2 record and earnings of $286, 516. Gary Barber’s Zensational Bunny sat just off the pace in Saturday’s $130,624 Star Shoot Stakes at Woodbine, hit the front in the final sixteenth and drove to a 1-3/4 length victory, with front-running OBS graduate Shanagarry (August ’12) settling for third. It’s the second stakes win for the three-year -old daughter of Zensational, sold for $20,000 by Eddie Woods, Agent, after working an eighth in :10 1/5 at the 2013 OBS June Sale.
