Midshipman colt fastest at March Sale Under Tack opener

Hip No. 139, a son of Midshipman consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm, Agent, worked an eighth in :9 4/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the first session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2014 March Selected Sale of Two Year Olds in Training. The bay colt is out of Eye’ll Be Fine, by Montbrook, a full sister to graded stakes winner Amen Hallelujah.

Six horses worked eighths in :10 flat. Hip No. 8, consigned by Eisaman Equine, Agent, is a gray or roan filly by Zensational out of Thornless, by Mr. Greeley, a half sister to graded stakes winner Rydilluc. Hip No. 11, a dark bay or brown colt by Into Mischief consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm, Agent, is out of Touch Me Babe, by E Dubai, a daughter of stakes winner Make Contact. Hip No. 32, Dreaming of Bailey, also consigned by Eisaman Equine, is a dark bay or brown filly by Belong to Me out of Wild Country, by Unbridled, and is a half sister to stakes placed Kens Cape. Hip No. 37, another Eisaman consignee, is a chestnut filly by Ghostzapper out of Wings of Gold, by Mineshaft, a daughter of stakes winner Vision in Flight. Halcyon Hammock also consigned Hip No. 119, a chestnut filly by Midshipman out of Debit Or Credit, by Cat Thief, a half sister to graded stakes winner Alke. Hip No. 162, consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is a chestnut colt by Henny Hughes out of Giggly, by Distorted Humor, a daughter of graded stakes placed Chaste.

Honors for the session’s fastest quarter went to Hip No. 51, a Street Boss colt consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, who stopped the timer in :21 flat. The chestnut colt is out of Albany County, by Forest Wildcat, a half sister to stakes winner Round Trip Flight.

Hip No. 158, a son of Warrior’s Reward consigned by Hoby and Layna Kight, worked the distance in :21 1/5. The bay colt, a half brother to graded stakes winner So Long George, is out of Gal of Mine, by Mining.

Hip No. 116, a son of Discreetly Mine consigned by Casse Sales LLC (Justin Casse), Agent, worked a quarter in :21 2/5. The bay colt is out of stakes placed Darling Monique, by El Corredor.

Hip No. 126, a colt by Congrats consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds, Agent, sped a quarter in :21 3/5. The dark bay or brown colt is out of Diamond Fancy Free, by Cherokee Run, a half sister to grade one winner First Samurai.

Hip No. 92, a bay colt by Congrats consigned by Ocala Stud, posted a quarter in :21 4/5. Out of Broadway Gold, by Seeking the Gold, he’s a half brother to graded stakes winner Broadway’s Alibi.

The Under Tack Show resumes Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. with Hip No’s 207 – 411 set to breeze.
