C R K Stable’s Kobe’s Back was impressive in his 3-year-old debut in Sunday’s $250, 250 San Vicente Stakes at Santa Anita, coming from last and blowing by front-running fellow OBS graduate Cherubim (June ’13) in deep stretch, besting him by 5-1/4 lengths. It’s the first graded stakes win for the colt by Flatter, sold for $480,000 by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent, at the 2013 OBS March Sale after an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show.
