Devil’s Cave cruises to track record in Gulfstream’s Sabin Stakes

Alpha Delta Stables’ Devil’s Cave went to the front at the start of the $215, 000 Sabin Stakes (G3) on Sunday and never looked back, cruising to a 3-1/2 length victory in a track record 1:41 flat for the mile and a sixteenth. It’s the first graded stakes win for for the 4-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Put It Back, purchased by Steve Young, Agent, for $180,000 out of the Blue River Bloodstock consignment at the 2012 OBS April Sale after she sped a quarter in :20 3/5 at the Under Tack Show. B J D Thoroughbreds LLC’s Right to Vote sat just off the lead in Saturday’s $100,000 Essex Handicap at Oaklawn Park, moved up on the turn to take command then refused to yield in long drive and scored by half a length. It’s the second stakes win for the graded stakes placed 5-year-old gelding by Political Force, consigned by Jerry Bailey Sales Agency, Agent, and purchased by Doug Cauthen, Agent, for $20,000 at the 2011 OBS March Sale. He’s now 18-6-2-4 and has earned $345,124 to date. watch his under tack video
