It’s the first graded stakes win for for the 4-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Put It Back, purchased by Steve Young, Agent, for $180,000 out of the Blue River Bloodstock consignment at the 2012 OBS April Sale after she sped a quarter in :20 3/5 at the Under Tack Show. B J D Thoroughbreds LLC’s Right to Vote sat just off the lead in Saturday’s $100,000 Essex Handicap at Oaklawn Park, moved up on the turn to take command then refused to yield in long drive and scored by half a length. It’s the second stakes win for the graded stakes placed 5-year-old gelding by Political Force, consigned by Jerry Bailey Sales Agency, Agent, and purchased by Doug Cauthen, Agent, for $20,000 at the 2011 OBS March Sale.
