Devil’s Cave captures Gulfstream’s Ocala Stakes

Alpha Delta Stables’ Devil’s Cave picked up her first stakes win in Sunday’s $100, 000 Ocala Stakes at Gulfstream Park, battling head to head for the lead from the start before asserting herself in the final yards and scoring by two lengths. It’s the third win in eight starts this year for the 3-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Put It Back, sold for $180,000 by Blue River Bloodstock, Agent, at the 2012 OBS April Sale. Three Diamonds Farm’s Comandante scored his third straight win at Aqueduct on Saturday, leading wire to wire en route to a 4-1/2 length victory in the $100,000 Alex M. Robb Stakes. It’s the second stakes win for the 3-year-old gelding by Frost Giant, now 14-4-4-2 with $270,568 in earnings. He was sold for $35,000 by Pick View Sales, Agent, at the 2012 OBS April Sale. watch his under tack video
