Aaron’s Orient – Marc Wexler’s Aarons Orient tried stakes company in his first start since a Saratoga maiden victory in August, went right to the front in the $75,000 Kip Deville Stakes at Remington Park on September 29th and stayed there to the wire, besting fellow OBS graduate Rivers Run Deep (June ’13) by 3-3/4 lengths. Bond Holder – Reddam Racing LLC Bond Holder came into Santa Aita’s $250,000 FrontRunner Stakes (G1) on September 28th a maiden, but rallied from off the pace to run past fellow OBS graduate Dance With Fate (April ’13) in deep stretch and score by 2-1/4 lengths. Dance With Fate settled for second. The 2-year-old colt by Mineshaft was sold by Crupi’s New Castle Farm, Agent, for $125,000 in March after an eighth in :10 2/5 at the Under Tack Show. Champagne Ruby – Clyde Rice’s Champagne Ruby came from just off the pace in the $50,000 Shesastonecoldfox Stakes at Finger Lakes on September 28th, hit the front a furlong from home and was best by a length. It’s the first stakes win for the 2-year-old daughter of Utopia (JPN), sold for $5,000 by Carapan Farm LLC (Ed & Diane Gregory) at the 2012 OBS Winter Mixed Sale. She’s now 4-2-0-0 and has earned $51,715. 

In Trouble – Team D’s In Trouble is two for two and a graded stakes winner after tracking the speed in the $200,000 Futurity Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park, taking dead aim turning for home and rolling by in the lane en route to a 1-1/2 length score. Sold for $120,000 by Grassroots Training & Sales LLC after working an eighth in :10 1/5 at the 2013 OBS April Sale, the 2-year-old colt by Tiz Wonderful has earned $168,000 to date. watch his under tack video

My Conquestadory – Conquest Stables’ My Conquestadory  is two for two and a grade one winner after an impressive victory in Keeneland’s $400,000 Darley Alcibiades Stakes (G1) on October 4th. Trapped on the inside in the early going, the 2-year-old daughter of Artie Schiller found running room on the turn, accelerated between fillies after straightening away in the stretch and scored by a length and three quarters under a hand ride. A winner of Woodbine’s TVG Summer Stakes (G2) on the turf over males in her only other start, she has earned $355,908 to date. Secret Compass - Westrock Stables LLC’s Secret Compass came running late in Santa Anita’s $250,000 Chandelier Stakes (G1) on September 28th and was up late to win by a head. The daughter of Discreet Cat was sold for $425,000 by Eddie Woods, Agent, at the 2013 March Sale after a quarter in :21 flat at the Under Tack Show. Sliver of Hope - G. Ray Trisler’s Sliver of Hope went wire to wire in the $88,950 City of Anderson Stakes at Indiana Downs on September 28th, scoring her first stakes victory by three quarters of a length. That’s two straight wins for the 2-year-old filly by Value Plus, now 3-2-0-1 with earnings of $76,268. After working a quarter in :21 1/5 at the Under Tack Show, she was purchased for $35,000 from the Southern Chase Farm (Greg & Karen Dodd) consignment at the 2013 OBS June Sale. watch her under tack video

Graded Stakes Winners: 

Alberts Hope – Jaam Racing’s Alberts Hope swept to the lead turning for home in the $150,250 Best Pal Stakes (G2) at Del Mar on August 4th, then held off a challenge by Celtic Moon (April ’13, August ’12, January ’12) and won by half a length, with Guns Loaded (April ’13, August ’12) completing an OBS trifecta. It’s the second win in as many starts for the 2-year-old gelding by Run Away and Hide, consigned by Pelican State Thoroughbreds to the 2012 OBS August Sale. Bond Holder – Reddam Racing LLC Bond Holder came into Santa Aita’s $250,000 FrontRunner Stakes (G1) on September 28th a maiden, but rallied from off the pace to run past fellow OBS graduate Dance With Fate (April ’13) in deep stretch and score by 2-1/4 lengths. Dunkin Bend – Michael Langford’s Dunkin Bend stalked frontrunning fellow OBS graduate Yes I’m Lucky (April ’13) in the $96,000 Sapling Stakes (G3) at Monmouth on Saturday, then ran by him in deep stretch and won by a length and a quarter. Jumping straight from a maiden win into the Sapling, the 2-year-old colt by Dunkrik is now 3-2-1-0 and has earned $117,000. He was sold to Langford for $110,000 by Wavertree Stables, Inc. Solitary Ranger- Susan Moulton’s Solitary Ranger picked a nice spot to break his maiden, taking charge of Saturday’s $150,000 Arlington-Washington Futurity (G3) on the turn then running off in the stretch to a 5-1/2 length victory. The win comes after two second place finishes and gives the 2-year-old son of U S Ranger earnings of $109,000. Brothersofthetime – Gelfenstein Farm’s Brothersofthetime picked up his first stakes win at Calder on August 24th, closing late to beat fellow OBS graduate East Hall (April ’13, August ’12) by a nose in the $73,200 Seacliff Stakes. Three for four with his only defeat a second in the Frank Gomez Memorial Stakes, the 2-year-old Florida-bred son of Bob and John was sold for $32,000 by Summerfield (Francis & Barbara Vanlangendonck) Agent, at the 2012 OBS August Sale. He’s earned $107,200 to date.

Conquest Titan – Conquest Stable LLC’s Conquest Titan put the lessons learned in his debut at Churchill Downs in June to good use, going to the lead and giving nothing else a chance in Woodbine $125,500 Swynford Stakes, drawing away and winning under wraps by 5-1/4 lengths. It’s the first win in two tries for the 2-year-old colt by Birdstone, leaving him with $73,695 in earnings. Free Mugatu- Ken Geren’s Free Mugatu is two for two and a stakes winner after rallying to win Saratoga’s $98,000 Law Enforcement Stakes by a neck on August 30th, with fellow OBS graduate Sol the Freud (March ’13) checking in third. Hi Fashioned- Rozamund Barclay’s Hi Fashioned took three tries to break his maiden but did it in style on Saturday, going wire to wire in the $100,000 Barretts Juvenile Stakes at Fairplex Park and scoring by a length and a quarter. The 2-year-old Florida-bred colt by Old Fashioned, sold for $67, 000 by Dapple Stud, Agent, at the 2012 OBS August Sale, is now 3-1-2-0 and has earned $85,000 to date. Selected Yearling Sale photo

Holiday Magic – Pinnacle Racing Stables, H. Jack Hendricks and Roger L. Justice’s Holiday Magic took charge of Saturday’s $85,000 Brave Raj Stakes at Calder a furlong from home then drew off to a 4-1/4 length victory over fellow OBS graduate Quinnkat (April ’13, August ’12). The two time OBS graduate was consigned to the 2012 October Sale by The Acorn LLC, Agent, before being sold for $45,000 by All In Sales (Tony Bowling) at the 2013 April Sale. Jessethemarine – Manfred Roos & John Rigattieri’s Jessethemarine battled fellow OBS graduate Interchange (April ’13) down the stretch of Delaware’s $50,250 Whirling Ash Stakes on September 5th, fell a  head short at the wire but was awarded the victory by the stewards. It’s the second straight win for the 2-year-old Florida-bred colt by With Distinction, now 3-2-0-0 with earnings of $53,940. Kobe’s Back - C R K  Stable’s Kobe’s Back, making his first start in Hollywood’s $101,000 Willard L. Proctor Memorial Stakes on June 15th, broke poorly and was dead last in the early going. But the 2-year-old colt by Flatter, sold for $480,000 by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent, at the 2013 OBS March Sale, got his act together in the stretch and ran by all eight rivals, drawing off to an impressive 3-1/4 length victory. Little Miss Flurry – Flurry Racing Stables LLC’s Little Miss Flurry is two for two and a stakes winner after leading from gate to wire and winning the $50,000 Lady Razorback Futurity on September 21st at Louisiana Downs by a length. The 2-year-old daughter of Awesome Again, who has earned $42,600 to date, was sold for $25,000 by J. Sold by Sue Vacek at the 2012 OBS Winter Mixed Sale, the 2-year-old Florida-bred filly by Teuflesberg was resold by Pelican State Thoroughbreds for $55,000 at the 2012 August Sale.

Yes I’m Lucky - Trilogy Stable and Laurie Plesa’s Yes I’m Lucky picked up his third stakes win with a 6-1/2 length wire to wire victory in $100,000 Laurel Futurity on September 21st. The 2-year-old colt by Yes It’s True, now 5-4-1-0 with $173,000 in earnings, was sold for $105,000 at the 2013 March Sale after his Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. watch his under tack video

Ari the Adventurer – Stonestreet Stables LLC’s Ari the Adventurer got her career off to a rousing start at Belmont on July 11th, going to the front and never looking back, scoring by 6-3/4 lengths in a maiden special weight test after 5-1/2 furlongs in a sharp 1:03 flat. The 2-year-old daughter of Pioneerof the Nile, sold for $350,000 by Sequel Bloodstock, Inc. (Becky Thomas), Agent, at the 2013 OBS March Sale after an eighth in :9 4/5 at the Under Tack Show, earned $42,000 for her effort. watch her under tack video

Bajan – Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Jerry Frankel’s Bajan chased graded stakes winning OBS graduate Alberts Hope (August ’12) in her July debut at Hollywood, but put the experience to good use in a Del Mar maiden special on August 10th,  battling down the stretch and getting up in the final jump to win by a nose. One for two with $55,400 in the bank, the 2-year-old filly by Speightstown was sold for $80,000 by Harris Training Center, Agent at the 2013 OBS March Sale. watch her under tack video

Celtic Moon- Richard C. Pell’s Celtic Moon was head and head for the lead until the top of the stretch, took the lead for good at the eighth pole and edged away to a length and a quarter victory in a July 7th Hollywood Park maiden special weight turf test. Third in his only other start, the 2-year-old Florida-bred colt by Denis of Cork is a three time OBS graduate, sold first as a weanling by Sue Vacek at the 2012 Winter Mixed Sale before being sold by Abbie Road Farm at the 2012 August Yearling Sale. Conquest Whiplash – Conquest Stables LLC’s Conquest Whiplash took on the boys in her debut in Woodbine’s $153,000 Victoria Stakes on June 22nd and the 2-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Hear No Evil ran away to a 2-3/4 length wire to wire victory over fellow OBS graduate Ba Ba Brett (October ’11, January ’12, August ‘12).  A two time OBS graduate, she was sold by Kaizen Sales, Agent, at the 2012 August Sale before working a quarter in :20 2/5 and bringing $370,000 when sold by  Blue River Bloodstock, Agent, at the 2013 April Sale. Conquest Two Step – Conquest Stables LLC’s Conquest Two Step lived up to his advance notices in his debut in a $39,481 maiden special weight test at Churchill Downs on Friday June 21st, pressing a rapid pace before taking charge turning for home and scoring by two lengths. Sold as a yearling by Get Away Farm at the 2012 OBS August Sale, the 2-year-old colt by Two Step Salsa was then resold  for $420,000 by Eisaman Equine at the 2013 OBS April Sale after working an eighth in :10 flat at the Under Tack Show. Dance With Fate – Sharon Alesia, Bran Jam Stable and Ciaglia Racing LLC’s Dance With Fate fought for the lead from the start of a Del Mar maiden special on August 11th, opened up three lengths in the lane and then coasted home a winner by a length and a half. D’cajun Cat – Southern Equine Stable LLC and Whispering Oaks Farm LLC’s D’Cajun Cat made short work of a Churchill Downs maiden special in his debut on June 1st, circling to the lead three wide then drawing off to a 5-1/4 length win. The 2-year-old Florida-bred colt by  D’wildcat brought $300,000 after working :10 flat at the under tack show prior to the 2013 OBS March Sale. Diva Dash- Coteau Grove Farms LLC’s Diva Dash battled for the early lead, took charge a furlong from home and scored by 2-3/4 lengths in a maiden special test at Evangeline Downs on July 6th. The 2-year-old daughter of Put It Back was sold for $25,000 by Kim Harrison, Agent, at the 2012 OBS August Sale.

Denali Cat Tale – Charles E. Robinson’s Denali Cat Tale went wire to wire and scored by a length and three quarters in a Prairie Meadows maiden special test on August 9th.  The win was worth $21,525 to the 2-year-old daughter of Tale of the Cat, sold for $100,000 by Parrish Farns, Agent, at the 2013 OBS March Sale. watch her under tack video

Guns Loaded – Ywachetta H. Driver and James Travis’ Guns Loaded fought on the front end all the way in his debut in a $76,000 maiden special at Del Mar on July 20th before easing away in the final yards and scoring by a length and a half. The two-time OBS graduate was first sold by Equest Thoroughbreds, Inc. at the 2012 August Sale. Consigned by Welcome Gate Farm, Agent, to the 2013 April Sale, the 2-year-old colt by D’wildcat brought $175,000 after working a quarter in:21 flat at the Under Tack Show. La Reine Bourbon – Bourbon Lane Stable & Michael J. Taking over on the turn, the 2-year-old daughter of Yes It’s True bounded away to a 7-3/4 length victory, running five furlongs in a snappy :57 3/5. River Dancer – ZRJ Stables’ River Dancer was outrun early in his debut in a Belmont Park maiden special weight test on July 5th, but took the overland route around his field and was going away at the finish with a one length victory.
