Conquest Stables’ My Conquestadory is two for two and a grade one winner after an impressive victory in Keeneland’s $400,000 Darley Alcibiades Stakes (G1). Trapped on the inside in the early going, the 2-year-old daughter of Artie Schiller found running room on the turn, accelerated between fillies after straightening away in the stretch and scored by a length and three quarters under a hand ride. A winner of Woodbine’s TVG Summer Stakes (G2) on the turf over males in her only other start, she has earned $355,908 to date. Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s Bernie the Maestro had only one horse beaten in the early going of the $103,850 Michael G. Schaefer Memorial Stakes at Indiana Downs on Saturday, but rallied wide around the turn and was up in the final yards to win by a length. It’s the second straight win for 6-year-old gelding by Bernstein, sold for $25,000 by breeder Sabine Stables at the 2009 OBS April Sale. DDRD Racing’s Sr. Quisqueyano went to the front and never looked back in Saturday’s $100,000 Quality Road Stakes at Gulfstream, scoring by 2-1/4 lengths for his third win of the year. It’s the fourth stakes win for the 3-year-old Florida-bred colt by Exclusive Quality, now 16-6-4-1 with earnings of $479,150. He was sold $5,500 by Thoroughstock, Agent, at the 2011 OBS August Sale.
Joy Ride Racing’s Miss Pippa picked up her first stakes win on Saturday, mounting a late charge to win Santa Anita’s $74,000 Swingtime Stakes by half a length. It’s her second win in nine starts this year, leaving her with an 11-3-4-1 record and earnings of $173,602.
