Summer of Fun scores in Saratoga’s Auntie Mame

Bona Venture Stables’ Summer of Fun rallied wide on the turn, collared fellow OBS graduate Effie Trinket (April ’12, January ’11) inside the final furlong and eased away to a 1-1/2 length victory in Saratoga’s $100, 000 Auntie Mame Stakes. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old daughter of Include, sold for $95,000 by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, at the 2012 OBS March Sale. Now 8-3-1-2, she has earned $276,621 to date. watch her under tack video

 

 Brinker Hill Farm’s Millennia scored her first stakes win on Saturday at Gulfstream Park, getting up in the final yards of the $100,000 TaWee Stakes and winning by half a length. It’s the first win in seven starts this year for the well-traveled 6-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Milwaukee Brew, now 37-6-5-5 with $305,237 in earnings. She was sold by Hidden Brook, Agent, for $70,000 at the 2008 OBS August Sale.  

Solitaire Stable, Jim Sanders, Marion Sanders and Lisa Dominguez’s unbeaten Winter Book is three for three with two stakes wins after her 1-3/4 length victory in the $50,000 Aspen Cup Stakes at Ruidoso Downs on Saturday. The 3-year-old daughter of Any Given Saturday, sold for $50,000 by Eisaman Equine, Agent, at the 2010 OBS April Sale, has earned $75,000 to date. watch her under tack video
