After Dennis O’Neill plucked I’ll Have Another out of the Eisaman Equine consignment on behalf of J. Paul Reddam at the 2011 Spring Sale, his Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness (G1) wins propelled him to the Eclipse Award as 2012’s champion 3-year-old male.

The same sale produced Sherry Parboo’s Trinniberg, sold by M & H Training and Sales, Agent. He won four graded stakes at three, and his Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) victory clinched the Eclipse Award as 2012’s champion male sprinter, a year after 2010 April Sale graduate Musical Romance was honored as champion female sprinter.

Graduates of last year’s Spring Sale have won 36 stakes races to date, headed by Karl Watson, Mike Pegram & Paul Weitman’s sale topper Executiveprivilege.  The daughter of First Samurai, with three graded stakes wins to her credit including the Del Mar Debutante (G1) and Chandelier Stakes (G1), was sold by Eddie Woods, Agent for $650,000.

The 2012 sale also produced Del Mar Futurity (G1) winner Rolling Fog, Saratoga Special (G2) winner Spurious Precision and Risen Star Stakes winner (G2) Ive Struck a Nerve.

Spring Sale graduates Next Question, Turbo Compressor, Turbulent Descent and Unbridled Command also won grade one stakes in 2012.
