Joey Keith Davis’ Red Lead won Sunland Park’s $50,000 Curribot Stakes for the second time on Sunday, taking the lead on the turn and easing away to a 1-1/4 length victory. The 7-year-old graded stakes placed gelding by Red Bullet won the Curribot in 2010 and was second in the 2011 renewal. His fourth stakes win leaves him with a 42-11-13-4 record, and he’s piled up $725,296 in earnings after being sold for $10,000 by Beth Bayer, Agent, at the 2007 OBS January Sale.
