2012 Kentucky Derby – Horsephotos

Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness (G1) winner I’ll Have Another has won the Eclipse Award as 2012’s champion 3-year-old male. He’s the third OBS graduate so honored, joining Skip Away and Silver Charm.  Racing for J. Paul Reddam, he was  four for four in 2012, all in graded stakes, taking the Robert B. Lewis (G2) and Santa Anita Derby (G1) prior to the two classic victories. The son of Flower Alley, purchased by Dennis O’Neill at the 2011 OBS April Sale, was sold for $35,000 by Eisaman Equine, Agent, on behalf of Victor Davila. Retired on the morning of the Belmont Stakes, he ended his career with a 7-5-1-0 record and earnings of $2,693,600. Watch and listen as I’ll Have Another breezes and sells at the 2011 OBS April Sale

Sherry Parbhoo’s Trinniberg is the winner of the Eclipse Award as 2012’s champion sprinter. The now 4-year-old son of Teuflesberg won four graded stakes last year, ending his 3-year-old campaign with a victory in the  $1,363,500 Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1). Trinniberg is the sixth OBS graduate named champion, joining Cherokee Run (1994), Not Surprising (1995), Lost in the Fog (2005), Midnight Lute (2007) and Kodiak Kowboy (2009). Sold for $21,000 by M & H Training and Sales (David & Kaylynn Mc Kathan), Agent, at the 2011 OBS April Sale, he has compiled a 13-5-4-0 record and has earned $1,483,300 to date. watch his under tack work
