Ken & Sarah Ramsey’s Stephanie’s Kitten had to wait for room in the final sixteenth of Saratoga’s $200, 000 Lake Placid Stakes (G2), but surged strongly once clear and was up in time to win by half a length. It’s the third graded stakes win for the Alcibiades (G1) and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G2) winner, the newest OBS millionaire with a 9-5-0-3 record and earnings of $1,104,082. She was consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, to the 2011 OBS April Sale.  watch her under tack work

A pair of well-bred youngsters broke their maidens on Sunday at Woodbine and Del Mar. John C. Oxley’s Indiano Jones, applying the lessons learned in his July 28 debut, stalked the early pace in a $61,274 maiden special weight test on the Woodbine turf course, took the lead an eighth from home and won going away by 1-1/4 lengths. The 2-year-old colt by A.P. Indy was purchased for $425,000 out of the Hartley/DeRenzo consignment at the 2012 OBS March Sale. watch his under tack work

Ike and Dawn Thrash’s Truly Marie took the early lead in a 5-1/2 furlong $70,700 maiden special weight test at Del Mar, opened a daylight lead in the stretch and scored her first win by a length. The 2-year-old Hard Spun filly was sold for $50,000 by Four Star Sales, Agent for Glencrest Farm LLC, at the 2011 OBS August Sale.
