Spring At Last filly fastest at second session of June Sale Under Tack Show

Hip No. 408, a filly by Spring At Last consigned by Eisaman Equine, Agent, worked a quarter in :20 4/5, the fastest work at the distance at the second session of the Under Tack Show for Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2012 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age. The chestnut filly, out of graded stakes placed Zahwah, by Rahy, a half sister to graded stakes winner Krisada.

Three youngsters breezed quarters in :21 flat. Hip No. 332, consigned by James Layden, Agent, is a bay filly by Henny Hughes out of Tacticmove, by Deputy Minister, a half sister to graded stakes winner Cat Fighter. Hip No. 453, a bay filly by Smoke Glacken consigned by Southern Chase Farm (Greg and Karen Dodd), Agent, is out of Babe’s Flair, by Capote, a daughter of graded stakes winner Meafara. Hip No. 457, Dangerous Honor, consigned by Eisaman Equine, Agent, is a dark bay or brown filly by Forest Danger out of stakes placed Beautiful Honor, by Double Honor.

There were three quarters in :21 1/5. Hip No. 274, consigned by Gayle Woods, Agent, is a bay filly by Circular Quay out of Sister Charlie, by Indian Charlie, a half sister to stakes placed Hammers Terror. Hip No. 382, a bay filly by Yes It’s True consigned by Robert Brewer, Agent, is out of stakes winner Wage a Penny, by Valid Wager, and is a half sister to stakes winner Vow to Wager. Hip No. 383, Weekend Appeal, consigned by J. Carlos Garcia, Agent, is a dark bay or brown filly by Weekend Cruise out of Waiting Appeal, by Successful Appeal. 

Six youngsters breezed eighths in :10 flat, the session’s fastest works at the distance. Hip No. 302, Tizan Honor, consigned by Costanzo Sales, is a chestnut colt by Tiz Wonderful out of Splendid Honor, by Double Honor, a half sister to stakes winner Crusader’s Poetry. Hip No. 316, Bold Thunder, is a dark bay or brown colt by Bold n’ Flashy consigned by Gayle Woods, Agent, out of Stormy Kristine, by Storm Creek, a half sister to stakes winner Cruising Executive. Hip No. 390, consigned by Eisaman Equine, Agent, is a dark bay or brown filly by Put It Back out of stakes placed White Ruffle, by Vigors, and is a half sister to recently graded stakes placed Gun Boat. Hip No. 402, Hughes the Daddy, a dark bay or brown Henny Hughes colt consigned by Classic Bloodstock (Danzel Brendemuehl), Agent, is out of With Lemon, by Lemon Drop Kid, a half sister to stakes winner and graded stakes placed I Love Silver. Hip No. 440, consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt by Pomeroy out of April True, by Yes It’s True, from the family of stakes winner Clock Tower. Hip No. 463, Final Footnote, a dark bay or brown colt consigned by Sequel Bloodstock (Becky Thomas), Agent, is out of Beppin, by Forest Wildcat, a half sister to graded stakes winner Cashel Castle.

Three youngsters shared honors for the day’s fastest three eighths, each stopping the timer in :33 4/5. Hip No. 263, a chestnut colt by Love of Money consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Agent, is out of stakes winner Sheza Pretty Gal, by Fast Ferdie. Hip No. 355, King Solomon, consigned by Sescan LLC, Agent, is a bay Double Honor gelding out of Tricky Thunder, by Favorite Trick. Hip No. 447, Ask Simon, consigned by Gayle Woods, Agent, is a bay colt by Simon Pure out of Ashwin, by Groomstick, from the family of graded stakes winner Unpredictable.

The third and final Under Tack session begins Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. Hip No.’s 481-723 are scheduled to breeze. The Under Tack Show is streamed live via theOBSwebsite at obssales.com and via the Blood-Horse and Daily Racing Form websites. The workouts are recorded and videos will be available on the website, in their entirety or by individual hip number. They will also be available for viewing in the video room adjacent to the Horsemen’s Lounge in the sales pavilion as well as several kiosks in the lobby and the covered walking ring. In-room viewing is available at Holiday Inn, The Courtyard by Marriott, Homewood Suites, Residence Inn and the Ocala Hilton, plus lounge viewing is available at the Hilton. Under Tack Show results are posted on the OBS website.

There are 689 two-year-olds and 32 older horses cataloged for the two-day OBSsale, beginning Tuesday, June 19th (Hip No.’s 1 – 340) and concluding Wednesday, June 20th (Hip No.’s 341 – 723). Both sessions will get underway at 10:30 a.m.
