Frank Carl Calabrese’s graded stakes winner Where’s Sterling had one horse beaten past the stands the first time in Calder’s $51, 000 Mecke Stakes on Saturday, then rallied on the outside before blowing past pacesetting OBS graduate Oligarch (March ’10, August ’09) and drawing off to a 3-1/4 length victory. Oligarch settled for second. It’s the second straight stakes win for the 5-year-old son of Northern Afleet, two of four this year and 14-5-5-0 with earnings of $440,045 overall. Mayberry Farm, Agent sold him for $50,000 at the 2009 OBS April Sale.  under tack link

It’s the third win and second stakes score of the year for the 3-year-old filly by Street Sense, sold for $9,500 by Kings Equine, Inc., Agent, at the 2011 OBS April Sale.
