Shivananda Racing’s Trinniberg bounced right to the lead in the $400, 000 Woody Stephens Stakes (G2) at Belmont, chased by fellow OBS graduate Currency Swap (March ’11, October ’09). They stayed that way throughout seven furlongs in 1:22 1/5 with Trinniberg scoring by a length and three quarters, reversing their finish in last year’s Hopeful Stakes (G1) at Saratoga. It’s the third graded stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Teuflesberg, now 9-4-2-0 with earnings of $581,300. He was sold for $21,000 by M & H Training and Sales (David & Kaylynn Mc Kathan), Agent, at the 2011 OBS April Sale. under tack link
