Henny Hughes filly fastest at April Under Tack Show opener

Hip No. 233, a filly by Henny Hughes consigned by Best A Luck Farm, Agent, sped an eighth in :9 4/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the first session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2012 Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training. The bay filly is out of Cape Discovery, by Cape Town, from the family of graded stakes winner Inexplicable.

Nine youngsters worked eighths in :10 flat. Hip No. 45, consigned by Rod McVey, is a bay colt by Private Vow out of Weight No More, by Pure Prize, a half sister to graded stakes winner Beefchopper. Hip No. 50, a dark bay or brown colt by Harlan’s Holiday consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, is out of West Indian, by Indian Charlie and is a half brother to stakes winner Golden Dreamer. Hip No. 80, consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent, is a bay filly by Spring At Last out of Zambezi Belle, by Lord At War (ARG), and is a half sister to stakes winner Law Enforcement. Hip No. 101, a chestnut filly by D’wildcat consigned by James Layden, Agent, is out of Always Twining, by Twining, and is a half sister to stakes placed Always Wildcatin’. Hip No. 105, consigned by Crupi’s New Castle Farm, Agent, is a gray or roan colt by Unbridled’s Song out of stakes winner Amazing Buy, by High Yield. Hip No. 119 is dark bay or brown filly by City Place out of Anythingispossible, by Songandaprayer, consigned by Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds LLC, Agent. Hip No. 251, a chestnut filly by Forestry consigned by Kings Equine, Agent, is out of graded stakes winner Charm a Gendarme, by Batonnier. A trio of horses shared honors for the session’s fastest quarter, stopping the timer in :20 3/5. Hip No. 28, consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Agent, is a dark bay or brown filly by Put It Back out of stakes winner Wabash Gal, by Jungle Express, and is a half sister to stakes winner Sheza Pretty Gal. Hip No. 201, consigned by Hoppel’s Horse and Cattle Co., Agent, is a dark bay or brown filly by Ready’s Image out of Bound to Blush, by Boundary, a daughter of graded stakes winner Blush. Hip No. 278, a chestnut filly by Cowtown Cat consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, is out of stakes placed Classy Daniela, by Regal Classic.

Hip No. 213, a bay Cowtown Cat filly consigned by All Dreams Equine, worked a quarter in :20 4/5. Out of Brooks N Boots, by Odyle, she’s a half sister to graded stakes placed stakes winner Gato Go Win.

There were five quarters in :21 flat. Hip No. 7, consigned by Ocala Stud, is a chestnut filly by Brother Derek out of Valid Silk, by Valid Appeal, and is a half sister to stakes winner Rocky River. The session’s fastest three eighths was turned in by Hip No. 64, My Jealous, a colt by Halo’s Image consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Agent. The bay colt is out of Windjammin Lady, by Helmsman, a daughter of stakes winner Loudon Top.
