Kaleem Shah’s May Day Rose scored her third stakes victory in five starts this year, cruising to a 3-1/4 length win in Hollywood’s $100, 000 Railbird Stakes (G3) on Saturday. The 3-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Rockport Harbor is now 9-5-1-0 with earnings of $324, 555. Frank C. Calabrese’s Romacaca racked up her fourth stakes win with a 1-1/2 length victory in the $55,000 Sara’s Success Stakes at Calder on Saturday. That’s three straight wins for the 5-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Running Stag, giving her a 21-10-4-2 record and $433,092 in earnings. She was consigned by Cashel Stud, Agent, to the 2007 August and 2008 April OBS Sales.

It’s the second stakes win for the 4-year-old Florida-bred filly by Concorde’s Tune, sold for $55,000 by breeder Ocala Stud at the 2009 OBS April Sale. She’s now 26-5-3-6 and has earned $246,849.
